Washing and maintenance instructions

By following the information and instructions in the product information label, you will extend the life of your clothing and maintain your protection level. You will find the washing instructions in the product label inside the garment. EN marked products are also accompanied by a separate instruction booklet.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATEX WORKWEAR MAINTENANCE:

  • Sort your laundry according to the washing instructions on the inside of the product, and the color and dirtiness.
  • EN marked protective clothing should always be washed separately from other laundry or in combination with other similarly labeled EN products.
  • Wash the product upside down and completely closed. This keeps the fabric’s properties and garment fasteners and reflectors longer. It is especially important that the velvros are carefully sealed to prevent them from linting and losing their adhesive power.
  • Washing machine fill rate 60-80%.
  • Use only synthetic detergents – not soap based. Follow the dosage instructions on the detergent pack. For colored clothing only detergent for colored laundry.
  • Do not use optical brighteners or rinse aid.
  • Do not soak or dry excessively.
  • If using a tumble dryer, remove the clothes while they are still damp.
  • A tumble dryer is not recommended for EN marked products.
  • Straighten the EN marked product when wet on the hanger to dry.
  • Do not use steam when ironing reflector tapes and flame retardant products.
  • After washing and drying, inspect the garment before use.
  • Use only materials that have the same characteristics as the original material to repair EN marked products. Repositioning must not weaken or eliminate the standards set for the product.
  • Store clothing in a dark, dry place.
  • EN marked garments meet the stated standards only when clean. Very dirty and damaged clothing must be changed.
  • Wash your clothes often enough.
  • Change your work clothes to new ones regularly.
